The Climate Equities project explores the barriers to participation in climate action faced by folks who experience racial and/or social marginalisation.
We conducted focus groups with young people from Leeds and the North West (UK), and carried out interviews with practitioners from across the UK. One of our findings was the power and importance of the arts in organising and movement spaces. We collaborated with the artist Bulonics to create thought-provoking soundscapes to showcase the interviews, and with the artist and designer Camille Etchart, who illustrated these beautiful publications.

We identified a need to be active, work and organise in ways that nourish, rather than deplete, as so many people were sharing their experiences of burn-out as a barrier to continuous action.
